- Tank Size: Minimum 5 gallons, though larger is better for groups
- Water Parameters: pH 6.5–8.0, Temperature 59–85°F (15–29°C)
- Diet: Omnivorous; thrives on high-quality flakes, micro pellets, and live/frozen foods like daphnia and brine shrimp
- Behavior: Peaceful and social; happiest in groups of 5 or more
- Breeding: Readily breeds in captivity; females carry adhesive eggs before attaching them to plants or surfaces
