The Daku Aquatics Automatic Egg Catcher has arrived!
This egg catcher is 3D printed with high-quality aquarium safe PETG.
It is designed to work in 5, 10, and 20 long standard rimmed aquariums and connects directly to a marina/fluval hang on breeder box kit (not included)! You will also need your own airline tubing and air pump.
There are many videos available on my social media if you want to see how it works, but it’s a fairly simple system that uses air to lift newly laid eggs from the bottom of the catcher up the tube and into the breeder box, away from the predation of the parents.

Great device. Simple, well built and easy to install. Grate lid takes a gentle touch to have it seat properly. Just have to show my puffers your video to get them in the mood.

Love the design but I feel it’s a bit too big. with no way of funneling the eggs towards the outlet, not all the eggs are making it to tube and are stuck on the outside edge of the catcher. Top notch shipping and packaging
Thanks for the feedback! A lot of the eggs will stay in the bottom of the cup and only be sucked up once they hatch, turn into wigglers, and start moving around on the bottom. This helps with photosensitive eggs and less fungus growth overall. As long as the eggs are being collected in the cup and protected from their parents under the grate, it is working as intended! I hope you breed lots of fish with it. Good luck!
I haven’t set it up yet, but it looks like a great idea. I want to try it with my cherry barbs. My tank is kinda tall so I may have to figure something out.
