- Lighting: Prefers low to moderate lighting; intense lighting may lead to algae growth on the moss.
- CO₂ & Fertilization: CO₂ is not required, and regular liquid fertilization supports its overall health.
- Temperature: Thrives in water temperatures between 68–80°F (20–27°C).
- Water Conditions: Adapts well to a pH range of 6.0–7.5 and soft to moderately hard water.
- Substrate & Placement: Can be attached to driftwood, rocks, or mesh with thread or fishing line, or placed directly on substrate.
- Trimming & Maintenance: Regular trimming may be needed to prevent overgrowth and maintain shape.
- Propagation: Propagates easily by dividing the moss into smaller portions and reattaching them to new surfaces.
