- Tank Size: Minimum 5 gallons, with more space for larger groups
- Water Parameters: pH 6.5–7.5, Temperature 72–78°F (22–26°C)
- Diet: Omnivorous; enjoys high-quality micro pellets, flakes, and live/frozen foods like daphnia and baby brine shrimp
- Behavior: Peaceful but shy; thrives in groups of 6 or more
- Breeding: Egg scatterers; provide fine-leaved plants or spawning mops for breeding success
