- Lighting: Low to moderate lighting keeps steady growth and healthy color
- CO₂ & Fertilization: CO₂ is not required; root tabs, nutrient-rich substrate, and/or liquid fertilizer encourages vibrant coloration
- Temperature: Thrives in 68–82°F (20–28°C)
- Water Conditions: Prefers pH 6.0–7.5; soft to moderately hard water
- Planting & Growth: Plant the roots gently in substrate with the crown above the surface to prevent rot
- Maintenance: Minimal trimming required; may experience “Crypt melt” when first introduced but regrows once established
